Most of us who live in Richmond VA can attest to how wonderful of a city it truly is and an outstanding place to raise a family. However, when a power house publication like Forbes confirms what we already know, it is just that much sweeter! That’s right, Richmond VA makes Forbes list as one of the best cities for working mothers coming in at number 8 out of 25.
To award this awesome distinction, Forbes selected the 50 largest metropolitan areas by population and started to whittle down their list by using criteria such as: cost of living, commute times, safety, health-care, education and more. And, Richmond is is GREAT company with the following cities making the cut:
Number 10: Louisville, Kentucky
Number 9: Buffalo, New York
NUMBER 8: Richmond, Virginia
Number 7: Cleveland, Ohio
Number 6: Birmingham, Alabama
Number 5: Providence, Rhode Island
Number 4: Cincinnati, Ohio
Number 3: Hartford, Connecticut
Number 2: New Orleans, Louisiana
And, coming in at number 1 of the Forbes List of Best Cities for Working Mothers is…Columbus, Ohio!
Being a full time working mother as your Richmond VA real estate agent, I wholeheartedly agree with Richmond VA making Fobes list as one of the best cities for working mothers!
